Account Executive - Named Enterprise - Public Sector

About the Role

Join our growing Sales team to drive the adoption of Plaid's transformative financial technology within the critical Public Sector vertical. This is an exciting opportunity to build executive relationships and shape how government entities leverage modern financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture executive-level relationships to identify and articulate the business value and impact of Plaid across your assigned territory of named accounts.
• Focus on driving new revenue within the Public Sector vertical, requiring a deep understanding of the landscape, including key partnerships, procurement/contracting vehicles, payments, credit, and fraud.
• Strategically engage broadly within prospect accounts to build consensus and support for adopting Plaid, targeting both payer and provider customers.
• Master Plaid’s business value proposition and technological advantages specific to the Public Sector.
• Collaborate effectively as part of an account pod, partnering closely with Sales Development Representatives, Account Managers, Technical Account Managers, and the Product organization to ensure customer success.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of quota-carrying sales experience, with a strong, proven track record of closing complex enterprise-level deals.
• At least 5 years of direct experience focused on selling to large enterprise customers.
• Proven ability to sell complex technical solutions to business buyers, developing and presenting compelling value stories at the executive level.
• Strong skills in prospecting, qualifying opportunities, negotiation, and employing a consultative, product-centric sales approach.
• Experience deploying a territory or vertical-focused revenue strategy, often working alongside sales development resources.
• Genuine interest in financial services products and a commitment to building strategic relationships that drive customer success.
