Benefits Operations Specialist

About the Role

Join Remote's growing Benefits team to become an experienced international Benefits Specialist, playing a crucial role in ensuring compliant and delightful global employment support for our clients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Process and resolve support tickets and escalations related to employee benefits using Zendesk and email.
• Provide exceptional support to Employees and Clients regarding various benefits plans, including pricing, coverage details, and claims processes.
• Manage benefits plan enrollment, unenrollment, and assist with benefits invoicing and billing administration.
• Execute data-related tasks (preparation, entry, download) with high care and precision across the Benefits Remote platform and vendor systems.
• Define, detail, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain operations process documentation.
• Proactively research and systematically distill written knowledge into Notion documentation, identifying opportunities for process automation and streamlining.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HR Operations, specifically focused on employee Benefits administration.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing an excellent customer service experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to constantly prioritize workloads and meet deadlines effectively.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for interacting internally and externally at all levels.
• Proficiency in essential operational tools including Zendesk, Notion, Slack, and Google Suite; must be able to quickly learn new software.
• Ability to thrive and multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Must write and speak fluent English.

About the Team and Role Impact

• You will report directly to the Benefits Operations Manager and be a key contributor to the Operations - Benefits team.
• This role requires a "manager of one" mindset, emphasizing ownership and proactive action to get things done.
• You will act as an internal and external champion for Remote's core values and the Benefits team's objectives, helping to scale global employment solutions.
