About the Role

As a Commercial Solutions Engineer, you will be a key technical expert, partnering with sales to educate customers and drive the adoption of Grafana Labs' innovative observability products. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical skills in a customer-facing role, directly impacting our global growth.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Lead technical engagements with customers, helping to close opportunities through competitive knowledge and technical credibility.
• Deliver compelling product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers.
• Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams, providing feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
• Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, and knowledge base articles to enhance enablement materials.

• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills for varied and complex duties.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a remote-first, international team environment.
• First-class written and oral communication skills to articulate value propositions and technical advantages to global customers.
• A passion for solving technical challenges and bringing creative solutions to customers.
• A technical mindset with a desire for continuous growth; backgrounds from coding bootcamps, post-sales, or engineering are welcome.
• Self-motivated, initiative-taking, and creative approach to work.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Open Source technologies or in the Metrics/Monitoring space.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies (e.g., MEDD(P)ICC).
