Customer Success Manager

About the Role

As a Customer Success Manager, you will be the primary post-sales point of contact, leading customer engagements from onboarding to adoption and ensuring their success with our secure software supply chain solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to build strong customer relationships and drive value in a critical security domain.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical onboarding process for new customers, partnering with internal and external teams to understand requirements and formulate onboarding plans.
• Develop and nurture relationships with various customer stakeholders, from technical staff to CISOs, to ensure long-term success.
• Collaborate with sales teams to identify renewal and expansion opportunities while proactively mitigating churn risks.
• Partner with customers and our education team to provide training on product features, best practices, and security principles.
• Maintain deep technical knowledge of Chainguard products and industry trends to help customers optimize their usage.
• Act as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for their needs and requirements across product, engineering, and sales teams.
• Work closely with Technical Support and Customer Engineering to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in customer-facing roles such as Customer Success, Professional Services, Technical Account Management, Sales, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Support, collaborating with both technical and business teams.
• Relevant domain knowledge in one or more areas: Supply Chain Security, DevSecOps, AppSec, security infrastructure, containers, regulatory compliance, vulnerability management, or software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of a customer portfolio, acting with a high level of autonomy to drive effective customer outcomes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with building new processes and practices to best serve customers.
• Strong commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
• Driven, possessing high emotional intelligence and strong priority management skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Previous experience in an early-stage startup environment.
• Passion for technology and cybersecurity.
• Hands-on technical experience with cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), containers, Linux, Supply Chain Security, DevSecOps, AppSec, or security infrastructure.
