Director, Product Management - Developer Product

About the Role

Lead the strategy and execution for our critical developer-facing products at 1Password, shaping the tools that power modern application security and integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for developer tools, APIs, and SDKs.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and definition through launch and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, security, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality, impactful developer experiences.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather continuous feedback from developers to inform product decisions.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, with at least 3 years focused specifically on developer tools, APIs, or platform products.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling technical products used by external developers or internal engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycles, security practices, and API design principles (REST, GraphQL).
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with identity and access management (IAM) or secrets management solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• MBA or advanced technical degree.
