Engineering Team Leader

About the Role

Lead and mentor a small, high-performing product team while actively contributing to backend and frontend development. This is an exciting opportunity to shape team execution and foster individual growth in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small product team consisting of 3-5 backend and frontend engineers.
• Dedicate approximately 30% of time to management tasks, actively participating in product development for the remainder of the time.
• Lead and support the team's hiring and onboarding processes.
• Act as the team spokesperson, managing team dynamics and ensuring continuous constructive feedback.
• Coach direct reports, guiding their professional growth and career development.
• Uphold and promote company values within the team and the broader organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing an engineering team of at least two people.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Backend technologies, specifically Elixir/Phoenix.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, development best practices, and efficient processes.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
• Commitment to fostering diversity, equality, and inclusion within the team.
• Ability to inspire confidence and guide team dynamics with a people-first approach.
