Engineering Team Leader

About the Role

Lead and mentor a small, high-performing product engineering team to drive optimized execution on ambitious technical challenges while actively contributing to product development.

Responsibilities

• Manage a product team consisting of 3-5 backend and frontend engineers.
• Dedicate approximately 30% of time to management tasks, including career development, coaching, and continuous constructive feedback.
• Actively participate in product development within the team for the remaining time.
• Own and manage team dynamics, serving as the primary spokesperson for the team.
• Be deeply involved in hiring processes for the team and support onboarding for new engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 people.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Backend technologies, specifically Elixir/Phoenix.
• Solid understanding of engineering and development principles and best practices.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence and guide others, focusing on efficient processes with a people-first approach.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the team and organization.
