Enterprise Sales Engineer

Join Chainguard as an Enterprise Sales Engineer to bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and our cutting-edge software supply chain security solutions. Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Sales Team to evaluate customer needs and prove the value proposition of Chainguard's security solutions.
• Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities, including conducting product demonstrations, Proofs of Value (POVs), and Proofs of Concept (POCs).
• Cultivate strong relationships with technical and business decision-makers across prospect organizations.
• Secure technical wins by effectively managing RFPs/RFIs, leading technical deep dives, and collaborating with the engineering team on feature requests.
• Represent Chainguard at industry events, webinars, and meetups to drive awareness and engagement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer, specifically selling into Enterprise accounts (3+ years).
• Demonstrated experience utilizing sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
• Deep technical expertise in container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and Serverless architectures.
• Strong familiarity with major Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Solid understanding of Cloud Security, Container Security, and Application Security principles.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor, build credibility quickly with customers, and mentor peers.

• Previous experience working within a startup environment.
