Manager, Enterprise Sales Engineering - East

About the Role

Join Chainguard as a Manager, Enterprise Sales Engineering - East, where you will lead a high-performing team, drive technical sales strategies, and empower our enterprise customers to secure their software supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional Sales Leadership to develop and execute technical sales strategies and account plans, helping customers evaluate and prove the value of our solutions.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales engineers, fostering professional development and setting performance goals.
• Drive the hiring and staffing of sales engineers to support Chainguard’s Enterprise business growth.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify Enterprise customer requirements and provide technical expertise throughout the sales process.
• Stay current with industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies relevant to the Enterprise sector.
• Provide valuable feedback to product management based on customer requirements and market demands.
• Contribute to the creation of technical sales collateral, including presentations, datasheets, and whitepapers.
• Track and report on key performance metrics such as Tech Wins/Losses, POV Time to Close, and ARR.
• Identify areas for team improvement and implement corrective actions as needed, while monitoring expenses and ensuring budgetary adherence.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Sales Engineering Leadership, specifically supporting Enterprise accounts.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, supporting Enterprise accounts.
• Strong expertise in container technologies, including Kubernetes, Serverless, and Docker.
• Proficient with major cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Experience with cloud security or container security solutions.
• Familiarity with sales frameworks like MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
• Must be located in the United States and reside on the East Coast.
