Product Manager

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Develop deep knowledge and empathy for user needs through data analysis, issue review, and customer interviews.
• Understand the product's underlying mechanics at a technical level to develop instincts for technical feasibility.
• Develop strategies for solving user needs and translate them into actionable product documentation for design and engineering teams.
• Steward projects forward, maintaining focus, momentum, and scope flexibility while respecting technical constraints and UX considerations.
• Follow up on shipped project outcomes both quantitatively and qualitatively.
• Collaborate across the team, actively seeking and providing feedback to advance the product.

Requirements

• Must possess a sufficient technical background, ideally from data analysis, data engineering, or software engineering with database experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in a product management role, having navigated multiple cycles of discovery, execution, and iteration for in-house software.
• A thorough thinker, capable of balancing diligence with systematic, big-picture thinking.
• Strong product sense and 'good taste' for creating lovable, usable, and powerful user experiences.
• Proven ability to maintain a long-term vision while breaking the path into small, valuable, executable steps.
• Excellent written communication skills suitable for effective asynchronous work in a global team.
• Must be able to accommodate synchronous interactions with team members on US West Coast time (applicants must not be located farther East than UTC+3).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working on a platform team or thinking through APIs, depending on the specific role alignment.
• Experience PMing data analysis or data engineering products for a long duration.
