Public Sector Account Executive (TS/SCI Poly)

About the Role

This pivotal role is for a highly motivated Public Sector Account Executive with deep Federal knowledge, tasked with establishing a strong presence within key accounts and evangelizing secure software supply chains. You will drive the adoption of cutting-edge security solutions, playing a critical part in the Federal mission.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute account plans specifically for the Intelligence Community segment.
• Drive the adoption of Chainguard Images to new customers within Federal accounts.
• Evangelize the value proposition and ROI of secure software supply chains to prospects and leads.
• Position yourself as a trusted advisor within government programs to effect positive change.
• Champion our offerings with key stakeholders to influence project future states.
• Collaborate with internal business functions to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Leverage community, partner ecosystems, and marketing to drive significant growth.
• Forecast accurately to meet and exceed sales quotas.
• Manage business operations and track opportunities using SFDC and other supporting tools.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Polygraph clearance is required.
• 8+ years of enterprise sales experience within the Federal sector.
• Strong drive, competitive spirit, and a collaborative team player mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites to support sales relationships (up to 25%).
• Entrepreneurial, founder mindset with a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and creativity.

Desired Qualifications

• Proven track record in Software SaaS subscription sales, demonstrated by quota overachievement and strong Federal customer references.
• Strong sales aptitude and a fundamental understanding of the sales process.
• Sound, tech-savvy business acumen with the ability to articulate a compelling value proposition in a complex and evolving business environment.
• Ability to thrive in an agile environment with an ever-evolving set of solutions.
• Startup experience.
• Domain experience with one or more of the following: Compute platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps Tooling, CICD platforms (Github, Gitlab, Jenkins), and overall SDLC.
