Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and actively contribute to cross-team technical initiatives.
• Actively participate in product discussions, providing technical feedback and suggesting product improvements.
• Provide constructive feedback through code reviews and contribute to the shared codebase quality.
• Debug and resolve complex technical and business issues across the platform.
• Mentor and guide other engineers on best practices and technical approaches.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience as a Backend Engineer specializing in Elixir, including building, shipping, and maintaining complex software projects.
• Proven experience working with relational databases, specifically Postgres or similar SQL technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Ability to work effectively in an asynchronous, fully remote environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js, React, or Vue/Angular.
