Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and actively participate in cross-team initiatives.
• Design and implement robust APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Actively participate in product work by providing technical feedback and suggesting product improvements.
• Contribute to the shared codebase, provide constructive feedback during code reviews, and mentor other engineers.
• Debug and resolve complex technical and business issues across the platform.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience as a Senior Backend Engineer, including building, shipping, and maintaining complex software projects.
• Deep expertise with relational databases, specifically Postgres or similar SQL databases.
• Proven experience working with and leveraging CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins).
• Ability to design systems that prioritize performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Nice-to-Haves

• Professional experience with Functional Programming languages such as Elixir or Erlang.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks like Next.js, React, or Vue.
