Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Contractor)

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Frontend Engineer Contractor to drive the technical planning and delivery of high-quality user interfaces, focusing specifically on critical user management flows.

Responsibilities

• Scope, technically assess, plan, and deliver high-quality solutions for signin/registration flows.
• Manage the User Interface (UI) for internal tools related to user management, rostering, directory, and organization.
• Advise and consult with the Team Lead on project impacts and necessary frontend updates.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead and Product Manager in scoping, grooming, and delivering projects governed by the User Management Team.
• Write high-quality, testable code and automated tests, taking ownership of feature delivery independently.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design to refine ambiguous goals into clear, iterative work items.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development within a SaaS environment, collaborating with backend developers.
• At least 3+ years of experience working as a senior member of a development team.
• 5 years of professional experience with ReactJS and proficiency in leveraging modern Javascript conventions.
• Proven ability to build complex web applications with maintainable solutions that interact with various services and APIs.
• Working knowledge of semantic HTML, responsive CSS, and frontend design patterns.
• High understanding of modern web application architecture, web fundamentals, and developer tooling, including unit test writing.
• Experience incorporating and working with REST APIs and a good understanding of relational databases to interpret data relationships.

• Experience with accessibility guidelines for frontend work.
