Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Growth Platform)

About the Role

Join our high-impact Growth Platform team as a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale mission-critical services that drive user acquisition and engagement across our global platform.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy highly available, performant, and scalable backend services using modern programming languages and cloud infrastructure.
• Own the full lifecycle of core platform features, from technical design and implementation through to monitoring and operational excellence.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Frontend Engineers to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Drive improvements in system reliability, performance tuning, and observability within the Growth domain.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, focusing on high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Deep expertise in at least one major backend language such as Go, Java, Python, or Scala.
• Proven experience designing and working with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and asynchronous communication patterns (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Strong proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cassandra).
• Solid understanding of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code principles.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience specifically within the FinTech or high-volume transaction processing industries.
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and experimentation platforms.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogging.
