Senior Software Engineer, Web

About the Role

Join our dedicated Web Engineering team to lead the technical transformation of Plaid's public-facing website, directly impacting how thousands of developers and millions of users connect with their financial lives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy for our web platform, championing performance, availability, reliability, accessibility, user delight, and internal velocity, while actively contributing to execution.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Design, and Product teams to define strategy, roadmap, and timelines for major site transformations.
• Onboard new team members and maintain a high standard for technical excellence across the team.
• Represent web needs in overall frontend platform efforts, focusing on improving the build, deploy, and monitor experience.
• Lead development on full, deeply engaging, interactive, and impactful web pages, and contribute to templated pages published via our CMS.

Requirements

• 6+ years of engineering experience specifically on a website for a tech company with a product-led growth motion.
• Extensive experience in developing both static and server-side websites.
• Proven experience leading the development of a robust web platform that integrates with a Content Management System (CMS).
• Extensive experience with Javascript, React, or other modern UI frameworks/libraries.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS or similar.
• Experience coaching mid and senior-level engineers.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience working on a stack involving Google Analytics, Marketo, or Segment.
• Familiarity with technical SEO optimization.
