Senior Specialist, Employee Relations - EMEA

About the Role

Join Remote as a Senior Specialist, Employee Relations, where you will be critical in managing complex employee exits and providing expert first-level Employee Relations support across EMEA jurisdictions, directly shaping the future of global employment compliance.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex end-to-end employee exits (voluntary and involuntary) across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring superior client and employee experience.
• Provide trusted guidance on key HR matters, including termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes, ensuring strict legal compliance.
• Lead and facilitate critical meetings with clients and external employees, such as workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations.
• Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex termination scenarios while managing multiple stakeholders with competing interests.
• Act as the first point of informal escalation, providing expertise, mentoring, and guidance to more junior team members on employee relations matters.
• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying key facts, applicable local regulations, and potential paths forward.
• Proactively identify opportunities and drive process improvements, automation, and product development related to offboarding and employee relations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, demonstrating strong generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle.
• Proven background in independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with sensitivity and legal compliance across various jurisdictions.
• Deep understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline approaches, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
• Superior communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, and translate research into practical, usable team resources.

• Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law.
