Sr Director, Product Management - AI & Automation

About the Role

Lead the industry transformation toward fully automated operations by owning the strategy and execution for PagerDuty's AI and Automation portfolio. This pivotal role offers the chance to build breakthrough value, enabling customers to ship applications faster and resolve issues autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Develop a compelling product strategy and roadmap for PagerDuty’s AI assistant, AI agent platform, and workflow/runbook automation offerings.
• Allocate resources strategically between innovation and sustaining existing products to optimize business outcomes.
• Develop and evangelize our internal AI agent platform to empower product and professional services teams to build agents on our data.
• Expand our AI ecosystem through partnerships and integrations across communications platforms, cloud storage, and infrastructure.
• Drive product decisions focused on customer value (engagement/feedback) and financial impact (win rates, retention, ARR).
• Foster and coach a high-performing, diverse product management team.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, GTM, Pricing, and Finance to maximize market impact.
• Represent PagerDuty as a thought leader with customers, partners, and industry analysts.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years in product management, with significant experience in SaaS, AI, and/or automation.
• Deep understanding of workflow platforms (triggers, variables, conditions, actions) and no code/low code authoring modalities.
• Proven experience with and strong interest in building experiences powered by generative and agentic AI.
• Strong technical acumen and proven track record of leading high-performing product management teams.
• Demonstrated success taking products from concept to market in an agile, rapid experimentation environment.
• Self-motivated user of AI tools with a bias toward scaling team output using technology.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building and delivering business results from AI/ML, observability, or incident management products.
• Experience scaling product ecosystems through technical integration, commercial partnerships, and GTM programs.
• MBA degree.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
