Strategic Account Executive (K-12 EdTech)

About the Role

We are seeking a driven Strategic Account Executive to champion Newsela's engaging learning content across key school districts in Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact K-12 education by building crucial relationships and driving solution-based sales.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at the district level.
• Employ solution-based selling techniques and solution mapping to secure district approval.
• Create, maintain, and manage an aggressive sales pipeline, including forecasting and designing lead generation campaigns.
• Develop and adjust strategic account plans for key accounts to advance them through the entire sales cycle.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the territory's funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape to inform sales strategy.

Requirements

• Proven success as an Account Executive with 2+ years of demonstrated success selling supplemental products directly to K-12 school districts.
• Extensive experience in networking, prospecting, and building a book of business from the ground up.
• Proficiency in the MEDDPICC sales methodology.
• Proven success forecasting business specifically within the EdTech industry.
