About the Role
Join Anthropic's pioneering AI Safety Fellows Program to conduct cutting-edge research and contribute to building safe and beneficial AI systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct empirical research on AI safety aligned with Anthropic's research priorities.
- Produce a public output, such as a paper submission, from your research project.
- Collaborate with mentors and other fellows in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
Requirements
- Strong technical background in computer science, mathematics, physics, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Fluent in Python programming.
- Motivated by reducing catastrophic risks from advanced AI systems.
- Excited to transition into full-time empirical AI safety research.
- Available to work full-time on the Fellows program for 4 months.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with empirical ML research projects.
- Experience working with Large Language Models.
- Experience in AI safety research areas such as Scalable Oversight, Adversarial Robustness, Model Internals, or AI Welfare.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks and experiment management.
- Track record of open-source contributions.
