Android Engineer

About the Role

Join ElevenLabs as an Android Engineer to build and scale our next-generation mobile applications, directly impacting how millions interact with cutting-edge voice AI technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, performant native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring responsiveness, stability, and excellent user experience across various Android devices.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, participating actively in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks reported in production.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience as an Android Developer with a strong portfolio of shipped applications.
• Expert proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK (Activities, Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers).
• Deep understanding of modern Android architecture components (e.g., ViewModel, LiveData, Coroutines, Flow).
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Hilt, Dagger).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile development.
• Experience integrating machine learning models or complex data processing on mobile devices.
• Contributions to open-source Android projects.
