About the Role

Join Kraken's Commercial Legal team, a strategic partner enabling global business operations and innovation. This role leads the commercial legal function, advising leadership and managing critical contracts to support Kraken's rapid expansion in the crypto space.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a high-performing team of commercial attorneys and paralegals supporting global contracting.
• Serve as a strategic advisor on commercial legal matters and negotiations, including technology, SaaS, partnership, and procurement agreements.
• Oversee the development and improvement of templates, processes, and risk management practices for scalable and efficient contracting.
• Collaborate with Product and Compliance teams to assess legal risks and implement practical solutions.
• Partner with Procurement to support vendor onboarding and contract negotiation across jurisdictions.
• Support M&A activities through contract review and integration.
• Help manage contract lifecycle systems and contribute to operationalizing legal workflows.

Requirements

• J.D. or equivalent legal degree and active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
