Associate Sales Engineer

Join Samsara as an Associate Sales Engineer to help transform the operations that power the global economy with cutting-edge IoT technology.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on Samsara's connected operations products, including IoT hardware, sensors, and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct efficient customer discovery to understand needs and address technical questions, aiming for single-call resolution.
• Provide technical expertise and conduct product demonstrations for the sales team and prospective customers.
• Explain the installation and deployment of Samsara devices to prospects.
• Educate customers on the technical aspects of Samsara's APIs and deploy scripts to a testing environment.
• Act as a liaison between sales and product teams, relaying technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.
• Champion Samsara's values and operating principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales or support role is preferred.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with cloud software, networking, or automation and control systems.
• Experience with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.
