About the Role

Join Samsara as an Associate Sales Engineer to help transform the operations that power the global economy with cutting-edge IoT technology.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on Samsara products, including IoT, AI, and computer vision, and their application in digital transformation.
• Conduct quick and efficient discovery to understand customer needs and address technical questions, aiming for single-call resolution.
• Provide demo and account coverage, offering temporary technical expertise to the entire Samsara Sales Team.
• Explain the installation and deployment of Samsara devices to prospects over the phone.
• Educate customers on the technical aspects of APIs and deploy scripts leveraging the Samsara API to a testing environment.
• Act as an internal advocate for AEs, prospects, and customers in technical discussions.
• Serve as a liaison between Samsara's product and sales teams, translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.
• Champion and embody Samsara's values and operating principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Preferred 1+ years of experience in a pre-sales or customer support capacity.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in one of the following: cloud software, networking, or automation and control systems.

• Experience tinkering with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles.
