Benefits Manager

About the Role

Join our People team as a Benefits Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive benefits programs that enhance employee well-being and support our remote-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage all health, welfare, and retirement plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k).
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA) and company policies.
• Manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Develop and deliver clear, engaging communications to employees regarding benefits programs, policies, and changes.
• Conduct benefits analysis, benchmarking, and reporting to identify trends and recommend program improvements.
• Resolve complex benefits-related inquiries and issues, providing excellent employee support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration and management.
• In-depth knowledge of benefits laws and regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and FMLA.
• Proven ability to manage multiple benefits programs and vendor relationships effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Experience with HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-Haves

• Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other relevant professional certifications.
• Experience managing benefits in a remote-first or rapidly growing organization.
• Familiarity with global benefits programs, even if the primary focus is NAMER.
• Experience with benefits communication strategies and employee wellness initiatives.
