Business Operations Manager (Commercial Operations)

About the Role

Join Metabase's BizOps & Finance team to own and run our commercial operations, building the systems that enable efficient contracting and commercial risk management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with external counsel and Sales to identify and mitigate business risks during contract reviews.
• Maintain and update contract templates, terms of service, privacy policies, and related documents.
• Improve and maintain systems supporting commercial operations, including contract management.
• Structure and maintain contractual data flows for automation and reporting.
• Drive compliance-enhancement projects to reduce risk and expand customer reach.

Requirements

• Strong analytical reasoning and verbal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with a high execution bar.
• Effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external experts.
• Aptitude to reason through and improve business processes end-to-end.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, ownership, and bias for action.
• Low-ego attitude, willing to tackle tasks of any size.
• Strong academic background, ideally with an MBA and quantitative/analytical experience.
