Cloud Platform / Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

Join our team as a Cloud Platform / Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain the robust infrastructure that powers Supabase, ensuring high availability and performance for our users.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on major cloud providers.
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to improve system reliability, performance, and efficiency.
• Develop automation tools and workflows for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system stability and respond to critical incidents.

Requirements

• Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with database systems, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Contributions to open-source projects or experience with open-source communities.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
