About the Role

Join Grafana Labs as a Commercial Solutions Engineer, an exciting opportunity to become a customer-facing product expert, driving technical engagement and enabling global growth for our open-source powerhouse.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Sales team to articulate the Grafana value proposition, vision, and strategy to potential and existing customers.
• Own the technical engagement with customers, driving high-velocity opportunities through technical skill and credibility.
• Deliver compelling product and technical presentations, demos, and hands-on enablement sessions.
• Serve as a primary feedback loop, proactively communicating customer needs and competitive insights back to Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Contribute to internal and public enablement materials, including documentation, blog posts, and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, capable of skillfully articulating complex value propositions to worldwide customers and remote internal teams.
• A strong technical mindset with a genuine desire to grow technically; previous engineering, post-sales, or recent bootcamp graduate experience is valued.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and thrive on bringing creative solutions to customers.
• High levels of self-motivation, initiative, and creativity, demonstrating strong judgment and collaboration skills.
• Must be comfortable working autonomously and collaborating effectively within a remote-first, international team structure.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience in a Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering role.
• Familiarity with Open Source technologies, particularly within the Metrics/Monitoring space.
• Experience with established sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC.
