About the Role

Join our Growth Data Science team as a Data Analyst, where you will elevate decision-making by uncovering emerging trends, developing key insights, and driving measurable impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted business advisor, influencing decision-making for the growth team and deeply understanding business operations.
• Own the design of dashboards, metrics, and reports, translating data into actionable insights for growth, cross-functional partners, and leadership.
• Dive into large, complex datasets to create scalable data models for reporting, analytics, and machine learning.
• Lead cross-functional projects to build data pipelines using Airflow, Python, and modern ETL frameworks.
• Develop and automate reporting of key performance indicators for various Kraken products at scale.
• Produce high-quality code for pipelines and dashboards, adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Deliver insights that shape growth direction through clear, data-driven storytelling.
• Contribute to the development and launch of experimentation infrastructure, including A/B testing systems.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of industry experience in data analysis and data management, preferably within financial services with exposure to trading product solutions (TradFi or crypto) in high-growth companies.
• Hands-on experience using dbt (data build tool) to model and organize marketing, product, or performance data.
• Experience supporting marketing growth teams, with familiarity in KPIs such as New Trading Users (NTUs) and other performance marketing metrics.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, including libraries like pandas, matplotlib, and plotly.
• Experience setting up and managing data pipelines, with a strong understanding of data workflow orchestration.
• Ability to create intuitive dashboards and visualizations to clearly communicate complex insights.
• Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex data concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A degree in a field emphasizing analytical rigor, such as software engineering, economics, or a hard science.
