About the Role

Join our growing data engineering team as an experienced Data Engineer to build and maintain critical data infrastructure, directly impacting internal operations and our developer community through data-driven insights and products. This is a remote position, offering an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a rapidly scaling, open-source focused company.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow and Meltano.
• Develop and optimize dbt models, ensuring adherence to our established data warehouse architecture.
• Implement robust data quality monitoring, testing, and alerting mechanisms across all data pipelines.
• Manage data ingestion from diverse sources including GitHub, HubSpot, Stripe, PostHog, Sentry, and internal systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Meltano.
• Experience with data modeling using dbt.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehousing solutions like BigQuery and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with analytics platforms like Hex or PostHog.
• Knowledge of Reverse ETL tools such as Hightouch.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Pulumi.
• A passion for open source and contributing to a developer-focused culture.
