About the Role

Join our dynamic Ads Data Science team as an experienced Data Scientist, playing a pivotal role in maximizing advertiser value and driving the growth of Reddit's advertising business through innovative solutions and strategic insights. This is a remote-friendly position, open to candidates across the United States, with optional office locations in SF, LA, CHI, or NY.

Responsibilities

• Leverage extensive data to develop robust data foundations, metrics, and strategic insights that enhance advertiser value on Reddit.
• Design and execute experiments (A/B tests) to evaluate new features and models, driving data-informed product and business decisions.
• Apply cutting-edge data science and machine learning methods to solve challenging problems in areas such as ads targeting, relevance modeling, auction optimization, measurement, and user experience.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to translate insights into scalable solutions and impact.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably within the advertising, e-commerce, or a related industry.
• Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and experimental design (A/B testing).
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and model development.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with large-scale data processing technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with ads platforms, auction dynamics, or user behavior modeling.
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field.
