About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust AI/Machine Learning models and algorithms to enhance 1Password's products, focusing on areas like threat detection, user assistance, and data organization.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing and new features, ensuring seamless user experience, high performance, and stringent security standards.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, security researchers, and other engineering teams to identify AI opportunities and deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute to the entire ML lifecycle, from data exploration, feature engineering, and model training to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Research and evaluate new AI technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/Machine Learning models in a production environment.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, with hands-on experience in relevant AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and practical experience with MLOps principles and tools.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and a passion for building innovative, secure AI solutions.
• Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a remote, distributed team environment, with strong communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or other specialized AI domains relevant to security or user experience.
• Understanding of security principles, cryptography, and data privacy best practices.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects, relevant publications, or active participation in the AI/ML community.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems.
