About the Role

Join Grafana Labs, an open-source powerhouse, to play a hands-on role in supporting and growing our global developer communities, focusing specifically on the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

• Organize and support community meetups across EMEA, collaborating closely with local community organizers.
• Evaluate and execute regional conference sponsorships, managing all logistics and community presence.
• Represent Grafana Labs in both online and in-person settings (up to 30% travel).
• Partner with affinity communities to explore and develop collaboration opportunities.
• Respond to and manage incoming community requests and opportunities efficiently.
• Monitor community health and identify emerging needs to provide actionable insights to the broader team.
• Manage logistics for community swag and recognition efforts for contributors.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience supporting developer communities at global, regional, or local levels.
• 2+ years of experience organizing community events, such as meetups and conferences.
• Demonstrated compassionate relationship-building skills, particularly across diverse communities.
• Proven experience leading projects and improving programs through thoughtful, creative approaches.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Analytical thinking and high attention to detail when executing community-facing programs.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and comfort working independently in a distributed team environment.
• Comfortability using engagement tracking tools like Common Room, Slack, and Monday.com (or equivalents).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with or active participation in open source communities.
• Familiarity with observability concepts and/or Grafana Labs technologies.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
