Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams within the Platform Engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for our Compute, Traffic, and State Platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of 1Password's products and services.
• Drive the development of highly scalable, reliable, and performant infrastructure that enables rapid innovation across the company.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders and product teams to understand requirements and deliver robust platform solutions.
• Ensure the operational health, security, and efficiency of critical platform components.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and managing multiple engineering teams, ideally within a platform or infrastructure domain.
• Deep technical expertise in designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong understanding of compute, networking, and state management technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to set technical vision, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver complex projects.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for building scalable, reliable, and secure platforms.
