About the Role

Join Affirm's Brand & Communications team as a Director, Social & Community to lead our social presence, shape our cultural footprint, and build engaged communities across the US. This remote role is pivotal in making our story resonate with key audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Affirm’s comprehensive social media strategy, covering audience insights, platform mix, content approach, and measurement to drive cultural relevance and business impact.
• Establish a proactive content program to amplify narratives, spotlight earned media, and engage the community with creativity and authenticity.
• Foster real-time dialogue and ensure Affirm's voice remains timely, direct, and culturally relevant across all platforms.
• Identify emerging trends, test new formats, and champion innovative approaches to social presence.
• Collaborate closely with Communications, Brand, and Partner Marketing teams to integrate social-first thinking into campaigns.
• Continuously optimize content, reach, and engagement based on data-driven insights to deepen audience connections.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in communications or brand roles.
• 10+ years leading social and community strategy, ideally within digital-first companies or high-growth environments.
• Deep expertise in social media platform best practices (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, X, LinkedIn).
