Engineering Manager, Cloud Engineering

About the Role

Join Zapier as an Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Team, playing a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our cloud environment. You will guide a team of engineers in designing, scaling, securing, and optimizing our cloud platform to support our growing user base and business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and SREs, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Oversee AWS account management, Terraform-based infrastructure architecture and deployments, and cloud networking to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Implement and maintain effective cost and capacity management strategies to optimize cloud spend and support growth.
• Partner with product teams to integrate infrastructure with Vercel deployments and other platform services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure priorities with business objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, leading cloud or infrastructure teams.
• Strong expertise in managing AWS environments, cloud architecture design, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain cloud cost and capacity optimization strategies.
• Excellent leadership and mentorship skills, with a focus on team development and performance.
