About the Role

Lead the Developer Impact team, enhancing engineering productivity and velocity across Zapier. This exciting remote role focuses on applying innovative tooling, including AI-powered workflows, to empower our engineers and eliminate friction in the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Developer Impact team, fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation.
• Drive the strategy for improving engineering effectiveness and velocity through advanced tooling and processes.
• Apply insights and innovations in development tooling, with a strong emphasis on AI-powered developer workflows and cutting-edge productivity tools.
• Collaborate across the organization to identify and eliminate friction points in the software development lifecycle.
• Adopt a hypothesis-driven, experimental approach to internal tooling, rapidly testing ideas and measuring their impact.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, leading technical teams.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and developer productivity challenges.
• Experience or strong interest in AI-powered developer workflows and internal tooling.
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives and measure impact.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

We operate with a hypothesis-driven, experimental mindset, rapidly prototyping and measuring the impact of new internal tooling and processes, particularly leveraging AI for developer workflows.
