Engineering Manager, Marketplace

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of features for our marketplace platform.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and other engineering teams to define roadmaps and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the marketplace system.
• Drive technical strategy and best practices within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in an engineering leadership or management role.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices and architectural patterns.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment across different time zones (USA, CAN, MEX).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working on marketplace platforms or e-commerce systems.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices.
• Background in full-stack development or specific relevant technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, microservices).
