Engineering Manager, Platform

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of platform engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable platform infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Drive best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure the platform aligns with overall business objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role in a platform-focused environment.
• Strong background in software engineering, with experience in building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Prior experience working in a remote-first or distributed team environment.
