About the Role

Join GitLab as an Engineering Manager for the Auth Infrastructure team, a fully remote role available in Canada or the US. You will lead a talented group of engineers in building the critical infrastructure that powers GitLab's authentication and authorization systems at scale. Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers focused on authentication and authorization.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable and secure identity infrastructure.
• Drive technical strategy and execution for key components of GitLab's software supply chain security related to user access.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of authentication and authorization services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Engineering Manager role, leading software development teams.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing authentication and authorization systems (e.g., OAuth, OIDC, SAML, RBAC).
• Strong understanding of software supply chain security principles and best practices.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
