About the Role
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will be the technical expert bridging our innovative products with customer needs. You will assess technical requirements, demonstrate product value, and cultivate strong relationships to secure technical wins with enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Partner with our Sales Team to help customers evaluate and prove the value of our solution.
- Focus on acquiring new customer "logos" in addition to growing the existing customer base.
- Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities and assist current customers in understanding Chainguard's value.
- Listen to customers to understand their challenges and pain points.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and Proofs of Value (POVs)/Proofs of Concept (POCs).
- Actively participate in webinars, meetups, conferences, and other marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks.
- At least 3 years of experience selling into Enterprise and Mid-Market prospects.
- Strong technical background in the following areas:
- Container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker).
- Cloud technology (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Cloud security or container security.
- Application Security.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor, building credibility and strong relationships with customers.
- A smart, passionate, and persevering individual with a strong team-player mindset.
