External Contractor - iOS Development Mentor (SwiftUI/SwiftData)

About the Role

Join us as an industry expert to guide and mentor aspiring developers through our cutting-edge iOS Nanodegree program, focusing on modern development with SwiftUI and SwiftData.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and high-quality technical support to students via an online community forum.
• Answer complex questions related to course content, facilitating learning when students encounter roadblocks.
• Host one mandatory weekly live virtual session to offer direct, real-time support and guidance.
• Redirect learners to appropriate support channels and escalate critical technical issues to the Mentor Operations team as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience or a Master's degree in a related technical field.
• Expert-level technical competence in Swift Programming Language, including advanced concepts (Protocols, Generics, Error Handling).
• Proven proficiency with SwiftUI for building modern, declarative iOS user interfaces.
• Strong experience with SwiftData and/or Core Data for robust data persistence and state management.
• Deep understanding of iOS Networking, Concurrency models, and Application Authentication protocols.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Must have flexibility in current commitments to fulfill part-time contractor duties.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience teaching technical concepts, public speaking, or organizing technical talks/webinars.
• Graduate of a Udacity Nanodegree Program.
• Demonstrated positive character and ability to build strong rapport and trust with students.
