Federal Business Development Representative

About the Role

This remote role is for a highly motivated Federal Business Development Representative passionate about cybersecurity. You will drive revenue growth by prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting appointments for the sales team within the public sector across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business plans to identify and pursue new opportunities within the public sector, aligning with government regulations.
• Prospect and identify potential clients in the security sales market using diverse lead generation techniques, including cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and industry events.
• Conduct in-depth research on prospects to understand their specific security needs, pain points, and key decision-makers.
• Generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads, meeting or exceeding weekly and monthly targets.
• Qualify leads by understanding their business requirements and matching them with our security solutions and services.
• Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team with qualified prospects.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement targeted sales strategies for specific industries, regions, or clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospects, leads, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging security technologies to better position our solutions.
• Participate in sales training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge.

Requirements

• Proven track record of success in sales or lead generation roles.
• Strong interest in and foundational understanding of cybersecurity.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and identify client needs effectively.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems for managing prospects and leads.
