Finance Associate, Mid-Level (L2)

About the Role

Join CoinGecko as a Mid-Level Finance Associate to play a key role in our financial operations, reporting, and accounting processes in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly and annual management reports, including presentations for stakeholders.
• Perform month-end closing, cash flow management, and assist with tax and audit processes.
• Execute daily financial operations, including reconciliation of bank statements, cryptocurrency wallets, and expense tools.
• Manage accounts receivable by overseeing sales invoices and following up on aging statuses.
• Handle accounts payable by managing amounts due to vendors and scheduling payments.
• Maintain and update financial documentation, guidelines, and records.
• Stay informed on the latest financial regulations and accounting standards, proposing process improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments and external parties like auditors to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to interns.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Advanced understanding of journal entries, monthly closing, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.
• Solid knowledge across multiple Finance functions (Financial Accounting, Reporting, FP&A, Treasury, etc.).
• High proficiency with Excel, including v-lookup and pivot table functions.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Analytical and data-driven mindset.

Nice-to-Haves

• Professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA.
• Ability to prepare effective presentation slides.
