Finance Data Analyst

About the Role

Join Circle's growing Finance team to build the critical bridge between financial strategy and data infrastructure, enabling faster, more automated business decision-making as we scale.

Role Context and Focus

This hybrid Finance & Data role initially focuses heavily (70%) on data modeling and engineering to unify our finance data warehouse, transitioning towards 50% analysis, forecasting, and strategic support as the stack matures.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating SQL pipelines to transform and model data for analysis and reporting.
• Building and maintaining precise, auditable financial datasets (e.g., ARR, Customer Profitability).
• Developing automated dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
• Supporting Finance & Operations teams with actionable analysis for decision-making.
• Developing data applications to automate processes like Sales Compensation and Salary Benchmarking.
• Implementing AI-powered workflows to automate financial reporting and analysis.

Essential Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including CTEs, window functions, and data modeling.
• Proven ability to build production-grade data transformation pipelines (experience with dbt or SQLMesh is key).
• 2-5 years of experience in data, statistics, or a related analytical field.
• Extensive experience working with BI tools such as Hex, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and analytically.
• Proficiency in English at CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5.

Desirable Skills (Bonus Points)

• Experience in a high-growth tech environment (SaaS, Marketplace, Fintech).
• Experience developing ML pipelines for predictive analytics (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Experience implementing AI-powered tools and workflows for reporting automation.
• Prior experience in FP&A or Strategic Finance.
