Finance Intern (Accounting & Finance Operations)

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and consolidating monthly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support month-end closing activities and cash flow management.
• Help with tasks related to tax preparation, auditing, banking, and investments.
• Participate in day-to-day financial operations, including organizing schedules and reconciling statements (bank, crypto wallets, expenses, management accounts).
• Assist in managing incoming sales invoices and follow up on Accounts Receivable aging.
• Support managing amounts due to suppliers/vendors and prepare payment schedules for Accounts Payable.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functionally to achieve department goals and support ad hoc tasks.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of journal entries, monthly closing processes, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Excel, including familiarity with VLOOKUP and pivot table functions.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, able to interpret data.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in operational tasks.
• Self-motivated with strong self-leadership skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience working effectively as part of a team.
• Note: Must be based in Malaysia and either currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or a fresh graduate within one year of graduation.
