Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Join Oso as a Forward Deployed Engineer, where you'll be the technical bridge between our innovative authorization platform and our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact customer success by integrating our solutions and providing expert technical guidance, available in New York or remotely across US timezones.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical integration and deployment of Oso's authorization platform with customer systems.
• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique technical requirements and design tailored solutions.
• Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Act as a liaison between customers and our product/engineering teams, relaying feedback and contributing to product improvements.
• Develop and deliver technical training and documentation for customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer).
• Strong background in software development, systems integration, or technical consulting.
• Proficiency with modern APIs, web services, and common programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, JavaScript).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with authorization, authentication, or security concepts is a plus.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
