Freelance Transcription / Subtitling Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking detail-oriented Freelance Transcription and Subtitling Specialists to help us ensure the highest quality linguistic data for our cutting-edge AI products. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely on projects that directly impact the accuracy and performance of advanced speech technologies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe audio and video content into written text, adhering strictly to provided style guides and quality standards.
• Create, review, and edit time-coded subtitles and captions for various media formats.
• Perform quality assurance checks on existing transcriptions and subtitles to identify and correct errors in timing, spelling, grammar, and formatting.
• Handle diverse audio content, including varying accents, background noise levels, and technical terminology.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Transcriptionist, Subtitler, or similar role, demonstrating high accuracy and speed.
• Exceptional command of the primary language of focus (e.g., English, Spanish, etc.) including advanced grammar, punctuation, and idiomatic expressions.
• Familiarity with standard transcription software and subtitle editing tools (e.g., Aegisub, Express Scribe, or proprietary platforms).
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines effectively, and maintain consistent quality across large volumes of work.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with AI/ML data annotation projects.
• Proficiency in multiple languages.
• Background in linguistics or media production.
