Full Stack Engineer, Grafana Partner Datasources

About the Role

Join the Partner Data Sources squad as a Full-Stack Software Engineer to lead the development of open-source data source plugins for Grafana. This role is crucial in enabling Grafana users to seamlessly query and visualize data from various databases.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the querying experience within Grafana data sources
• Investigate and resolve configuration issues
• Support the reliability and operations of data sources in Grafana Cloud
• Collaborate with engineers and teams across the Grafana division

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Full-stack Engineer
• Expertise in Go, React, and TypeScript
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Passion for building user-facing open-source software
• Ability to thrive in a remote-first, collaborative environment

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Portal and Azure Monitor
• Experience with on-call duties and SRE tasks
• Knowledge of configuration technologies like Jsonnet and Terraform
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms like Grafana or Prometheus

About the Team

The Partner Data Sources squad builds and maintains open-source data source plugins in partnership with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) like Microsoft Azure and Independent Service Vendors (ISVs) such as Clickhouse. Our goal is to deliver high-quality plugins that enable Grafana users to query and visualize data directly from their chosen databases in a unified view. We work closely with partners to implement and extend new APIs, ensuring a robust and fully featured experience. Collaboration across the Data Sources team and other Grafana division squads is central to driving innovation and solving complex engineering challenges.
