Responsibilities

• Enhance the querying experience within Grafana data sources.
• Investigate and resolve configuration issues to ensure smooth operation.
• Support the reliability and operations of data sources within Grafana Cloud.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers and teams across the Grafana division to drive innovation.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Expertise in Go, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
• Passion for building user-facing open-source software.
• Ability to thrive in a remote-first, collaborative, and innovation-driven environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure, including familiarity with Azure Portal and Azure Monitor.
• Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks.
• Experience with configuration technologies such as Jsonnet and Terraform.

About the Team

The Partner Data Sources squad is a vital part of the Grafana Data Sources group, dedicated to connecting Grafana to a vast library of data sources. We build and maintain open-source data source plugins in close partnership with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) like Microsoft Azure and Independent Service Vendors (ISVs) such as Clickhouse. Our goal is to deliver high-quality plugins that offer robust and fully featured experiences, allowing Grafana users to query and visualize data directly from their chosen databases in a unified view. Collaboration is central to our approach, working across teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
